More Arrests and Updates on the Transferring of the Detainees
Two individuals were arrested last night in the crackdown against activists and members of Al-Islah. Ali Saeed Al-Kindi, who is a consultant and state-related cases prosecutor in Al-Fujairah, and also the former judge in the appeal court of Al-Ain (Abu Dhabi) Khamis Saeed Al-Sam Al-Zyoudi. Ali is from Kalba’a (belongs to Sharjah) and Khamis is Deba (belongs to Al-Fujairah). This is a different escalation, as it is the first time that a prosecutor is arrested. This brings the total number of detainees to 60 individuals.
Yesterday as well, Shiekh Sultan Bin Kayed Al-Qasimi and Saleh Al-Dhufairi who were detained in rooms in two different palaces in Ras Al-Khaimah, were also transferred to Abu Dhabi to an unknown place similar to the rest of the detainees. The son of Sultan made a comment in his twitter account saying “it seems the rumor of the “family matter” has expired now!”
Also, the remands for Dr. Essa Al-Suwaidi, Juma Al-Felasi and Tariq Ibrahim Al-Qasim were renewed today (10 of Sept).
Mohammed Al-Jaberi, the son of Husain Al-Jaberi (one of the UAE7, whom citizenships were revoked) also stated in his twitter account yesterday that the State Security withdrew all of his official documents (passport, nationality registration book, ID, driver license, etc).
